In this week’s video, I’m sharing a behind-the-scenes look at my work with Ciara Spillane, founder of Positive Prospects.
You’ll see how she started with DIY design to get her business off the ground, how we transformed her brand and website and the results she’s seen since launching her new look.
Where She Started: Design that undersold her expertise
Ciara is an experienced career consultant who helps professionals reignite their passion for work, develop their career paths and take a proactive approach to all things career.
She runs team training programmes, delivers keynote speeches and leads workshops within larger organisations and corporate environments.
When Ciara came to me, she had already begun moving away from one-to-one coaching to focus more on team training and leadership development within established companies.
However, her DIY Squarespace website and visual branding didn’t reflect that shift or the level of expertise she brought to her work.
She’d built her own website, created content and even kept up a blog all of which are huge achievements for any business owner. But as she put it, “It just doesn’t look like me or the level I work at.”
The Challenge: A DIY website that didn’t match her level
Like many entrepreneurs, Ciara had invested time and energy into creating her website herself.
Platforms like Squarespace and Canva make it seem easy but it still takes time, skill and design experience to create something that feels strategic, cohesive and credible.
When you’re running a business, that DIY approach can quickly become overwhelming. You start questioning everything:
- Do these colours go together?
- Does this look professional enough?
- Am I presenting myself at the level I’m actually operating at?
Ciara was doing incredible work with corporate clients and SMEs but her online presence didn’t make that obvious. Her brand wasn’t communicating her value, and she felt it was holding her back from being seen as the established consultant she truly is.
The Goal: A brand that backs up her brilliance

Our goal was simple: create a strategic brand and website that matched the level of her expertise and positioned her confidently in front of larger organisations.
We wanted her brand to:
- Reflect her professionalism, warmth, and authority
- Communicate her niche in career growth and team development
- Build instant trust with SMEs and corporate clients
- Give her confidence to show up and lead in new opportunities
As part of her rebrand, we designed:
- A clean, modern WordPress website
- An updated visual identity and colour palette
- Canva templates for consistent social media graphics
- Branded presentation slides for workshops and keynote speeches
- A pull-up banner and business cards for live events and conferences

The Transformation: From DIY to a high-impact, professional brand

Her new website instantly conveys credibility and warmth. It balances bold, confident visuals with clear messaging and user-friendly navigation.
We incorporated her professional photos and built a structure that showcases:
- What she does and who she helps
- Where she’s been featured
- Testimonials from happy clients
- Clear calls to action and easy ways to get in touch
Working with CopyKate.ie for copywriting helped ensure the visuals and messaging worked seamlessly together. Every element from tone of voice to typography was designed to show Ciara as the trusted expert she is.
Extending the Brand: From online to in-person impact

After her rebrand, Ciara was invited to exhibit at a Learning & Development Conference alongside established organisations, including universities and well-known companies.
Before our project, she admitted she wouldn’t have felt confident standing beside those well established companies (Check out Ciara had to say in this video).
But this time, she arrived fully equipped with:
- A professional pull-up banner
- Branded business cards
- A cohesive visual identity across all her materials
She told me afterwards that having a brand that backed up her brilliance gave her the confidence to show up, engage, and be taken seriously by decision-makers in her industry.
The Results: More right-fit, right-budget clients

Since launching her new brand and website, Ciara has:
- Booked more corporate and team training projects
- Felt more confident promoting herself on social media
- Has brand materials that represent her professionalism
- Reclaimed time she used to spend second-guessing design decisions
Most importantly, she’s now consistently attracting the kind of clients and she wants, not just ones who came her way.

The Takeaway: Your brand should reflect your level and the level of your ideal clients
If you’re a consultant or service provider in Ireland and your website still has that DIY look, even though your work delivers real impact, it might be time for an upgrade.
A strategic rebrand doesn’t just make your business look better, it helps you:
- Attract high-value, right-fit clients
- Be taken seriously by larger organisations
- Feel confident showing up at conferences, events, and pitches
Because when your brand reflects your brilliance, you stop being a hidden gem and start being seen as the high-impact expert you already are.
