Website in a Week: How it works and why this timeline is realistic

April 27, 2026
–

If you have been putting off your website because the thought of a months-long design process feels impossible to fit into your schedule, you are not alone.

Most consultants I work with have the same problem.

They know their current site is not doing them any favours, but the idea of finding time for endless revisions and back-and-forth feedback rounds feels unrealistic when they are already stretched thin with client work.

This is exactly why I created the Website in a Week service.

It’s simple: you get a professionally designed, strategically structured website that is ready to go live within five business days.

A site that is built specifically for B2B consultants and service providers who need to look credible to corporate clients.

In this post I am going to walk you through how the process actually works, what you will need to prepare, and why this timeline is realistic without cutting corners on quality.

Because the speed only works if the foundation is solid, and that foundation is something I have refined across dozens of client projects over the years.

Website redesign

I’m Amy, and I design brands and websites that help B2B consultants and service providers get taken seriously by corporate clients.

If your website has been on the to-do list for too long, you can book a call to chat through the details.

What a high conversion template actually includes and why it works for B2B consultants

The word “template” often makes people assume they are getting something generic or limited, which is why I want to explain exactly what this approach includes and how it differs from what you might be picturing.

The templates I use for Website in a Week projects are not off-the-shelf themes that thousands of other businesses are using.

They are structures I have designed specifically for B2B consultants and service providers based on what I have seen work across years of client projects.

What makes this different from a DIY template is that the conversion principles are already built in.

You are not trying to figure out where your testimonials should go or how much space to give your call to action because those decisions have already been made based on what actually performs well for businesses like yours.

The website structure includes:

  • Homepage with clear positioning and credibility signals above the fold
  • Services pages designed for complex B2B offerings that need explanation
  • About page that builds trust without reading like a biography
  • Contact page with strategic friction that filters enquiries
  • Optional case study or results pages depending on your package

The customisation is where your website stops looking like anyone else’s.

Your brand colours, typography, photography and content make the final result feel uniquely yours while the underlying structure ensures it actually converts visitors into enquiries.

The content first process that makes a one week timeline realistic

The reason most website projects drag on for months has nothing to do with the actual design work.

It comes down to content arriving late, feedback happening in scattered rounds and decisions getting made slowly because there was no clear structure from the start.

Website in a Week flips this entirely by front-loading the content process before design begins.

This means you submit all of your written content, images and brand assets before your project week starts.

By the time I begin designing, everything I need is already in place which allows me to build continuously without waiting on materials or chasing missing pieces.

Clients consistently tell me this guided approach makes content creation faster than they expected because the decisions about what to include have already been made. You are filling in a template rather than writing from scratch.

The content window is typically four weeks before your scheduled project week, which means you have dedicated time to focus on this without the pressure of design happening simultaneously.

What brand style will attract better clients?

Take the quiz to discover the visual direction that will build trust with the type of organisations you actually want to work with.

How each page is structured so you know exactly what to submit

The content guides you receive break down each page into specific sections with clear instructions on what information belongs where and approximately how much detail each section needs.

This removes the guesswork that normally makes website content feel overwhelming because you are not deciding what to include or how to organise it.

Those decisions have already been made based on what works for B2B consultants selling to corporate clients.

Here is what the page-by-page structure typically looks like:

  • Homepage:
Positioning statement, up to three key services with brief descriptions, social proof section, about page preview and primary call to action.
  • Services pages:
Service overview, who this is for, what the process includes, outcomes clients can expect, pricing information if applicable, and secondary call to action.
  • About page:
Your professional background, approach or philosophy, credentials that matter to your audience and a personal element that builds connection without becoming a full biography.
  • Contact page:
Brief qualifying text, contact form with intentional fields and any other information prospects need before reaching out

Each section within these pages has a prompt that tells you exactly what to write.

Clients who have worked on DIY sites before often tell me this structured approach made the content feel manageable for the first time.

What happens after you book a call and how quickly you can go live

Once you book a consultation call, the first conversation focuses on understanding your business, your goals and whether Website in a Week is the right fit for your situation.

This call is not a sales pitch because the service only works well for consultants who have clarity on what they offer and who they serve.

If we decide to move forward, you receive your content guides and access to the client portal. This gives you time to work through the page-by-page prompts before your scheduled project week begins.

Gathering the content for your website

Most clients need between two to four weeks to complete their content, which means you could realistically go live within three weeks of your initial call if your calendar allows for focused content work.

Clients who already have strong messaging foundations often move faster because they are refining existing material rather than starting fresh.

By the end of the project week you have a complete website ready for review, and most clients need only minor tweaks before going live.

This means you could have a professionally designed site representing your business within a month of deciding to move forward.

The timeline is realistic because I’ve removed the usual bottlenecks

Content is done before design starts, the template framework eliminates layout decisions that normally slow projects down and the feedback process is concentrated rather than scattered across weeks of back-and-forth.

If your current website is actively working against you with corporate prospects, waiting another six months for a traditional design process means six more months of missed opportunities.

The consultants I work with often tell me they wish they had done this sooner because the difference in how prospects respond is immediate and noticeable.

Frequently Asked Questions

All your questions about the Website in a Week package answered:

Is logo and brand design included in the Website in a Week package?

Logo and brand design is not included in the Website in a Week package.

If you don’t have any logos or brand design assets yet and you like the efficient approach of the Website in a Week package, then The Catalyst Experience is for you.

It’s basically the Website in a Week package with the added element of some branding design included.

You’ll get everything you need from logos, colours, fonts, social media templates, everything you need to have a unique brand that makes your website stand out.

It is also done in an efficient way so it won’t add too much to the project timeline

What if I don’t have professional photos ready before my project week?

If you have booked your brand photoshoot but you won’t have your photos ready for your project week, I am happy to grant an extension to the content submission deadline since you are clearly on track to having lovely, professional photos very soon.

If you are not planning on doing a brand photoshoot, a mixture of photos you’ve taken on your phone (think you at an industry event, you speaking on stage, photos you’d share on your business social media) and good quality stock images can work well.

Since the layout of the available templates are strong and aesthetically pleasing, even technically unprofessional photos can look really good when they are presented in the right way.

Do I need to have my messaging completely figured out before I start?

You don’t need a polished brand voice before you begin. But having some practice in speaking about what you do and who you do it for is key to having a website that represents you really well.

The content guides are designed to help you articulate what you do and who you help through specific prompts, which means the process itself often brings clarity to you website copy which you may have been struggling with on your own.

Most clients find that answering the guided questions helps them express their expertise more clearly than they could staring at a blank page.

What if I’m not sure this is the right time to invest in a new website?

There’s rarely a perfect time and waiting for one often means your current site continues working against you while you build your business in other areas.

If you already know your website isn’t representing your expertise well and you have clarity on what you offer and who you serve, you’re likely more ready than you think.

The consultation call is the perfect place to talk through whether the timing makes sense for your specific situation.

Ready to stop letting your website hold you back

You now have a clear picture of how Website in a Week actually works and why the timeline is realistic without cutting corners on quality.

The structure is built for consultants who know their expertise is strong but recognise their website is not reflecting that to the people who matter most.

If you have been putting this off because traditional web design projects feel too long and too complicated to fit into your schedule, this process was designed specifically for that situation.

The next step is to book a consultation call where we talk through your business and whether this approach makes sense for where you are right now.

If you are still in the early stages of figuring out what direction you want your website to take, the brand style quiz can help you start thinking about what template style would suit your business before we even talk.

Whenever you are ready to stop letting your website work against you, I am here to help you fix that.

Amy
