Client repelling website

If you’ve ever wondered whether your website could be repelling high-ticket clients, then this blog series is for you.

Throughout the series, I’m going to share the in-depth reasons why your website might be doing this. You will then be able to avoid these pitfalls and easily attract and book high-ticket clients in your business.

Part 1: Lack of Clarity

Lack of clarity can manifest itself in many ways on a website. And it is a surefire way to turn away the high-ticket clients you dream of working with. When these kinds of clients land on your website you want there to be no doubt in their mind that you are the right choice for them. They’re most likely going to be browsing other websites in your industry so it’s crucial that you stand out. This begins with having a website that is crystal clear. Clarity leads to confidence and a high-budget client wants to work with someone who is confident in their offering and who will be a trustworthy partner.

1. Lack of a clear message

High–ticket clients want to feel catered to. They want to easily be able to decipher that you understand the problem they are facing and that you have the solution for this problem. The quickest way to do this is to focus your messaging around the problem you solve. And to make it stand out even further, it is best to highlight the target market you work with. Don’t be afraid that you’ll limit yourself by doing this. The internet is so full of content and distractions, the best way to stand out is to clearly highlight the problem you solve, what the solution is and who you solve the problem for.

2. Lack of a clear brand

If a high-ticket client lands on your website and all they find is something that looks like it was thrown together without a real plan or intention, they will either consciously or subconsciously consider your business to be less trustworthy and professional. It’s like you’re hiding away all your skills and expertise behind a default website that could belong to anybody in your industry. That is not what we want. We want your experience and your excellence to be obvious the second they land on your site, before they’ve even read a word. How do you do this? You do this with your brand. Every visual decision made on your website comes from your unique and thought through brand visuals. If you haven’t invested in your brand and you want high-ticket clients to invest in you, then there’s no time like the present to start getting your brand sorted.

3. Lack of a clear Call To Action

Another thing that could be repelling high-ticket clients on your website is a lack of a clear Call To Action. You want your potential clients to easily be able to figure out what their next step should be once they land on your homepage. Whether it’s to contact you, fill out an enquiry form, buy something or book an appointment, it should be clearly laid out and easily achieved. There may be many things you would like a potential client to do on your website but the important thing here is to prioritise the most important action. This is the one that will be the priority across your website. People browsing your site may do other things like read your about page, read your blog posts or watch your videos, and that’s great but you always want to direct them back to the most important action.

The last thing you want is prospective clients getting lost or fed up with a hard to navigate website. You always want it to be smooth sailing and make them feel like they’re in safe hands (which of course they are )
